What they say...
Our photography experience with Tim was fantastic! I booked in for the experience for myself (who has next to no photography experience) and my Mom (who is getting back into photography after a 30 year hiatus). Tim made us feel very at ease and was extremely patient with our novice status. We got some wonderful shots of the city and knowledge of our cameras and techniques that we can take forward on our holiday. He even included a take home cheat sheet for us to reference. In addition, Tim went above and beyond by helping is arrange a table for supper. Definitely a highlight of our stop in London.
I absolutely loved this tour! Tim knows all the great spots in London and is incredibly patient, talented and simply wonderful! I have some photography experience but still felt challenged and appreciated his input on composition, settings etc. He also helped me navigate home. What a fantastic way to capture your visit to London. Highly recommend! Thank you, Tim!
Tim is great, very relaxed and a pleasure to spend time with. As was his wife who joined us that evening. And a very patient teacher! We loved our class/tour. We were very lucky to have a warm night out and a beautiful sunset.
This experience was truly one that I will never forget. Tim is patient, kind, and extremely talented. His explanation of photography basics are the best i have had to date and more importantly, it opened up my eyes to the things I would never even have thought twice about photographing. I was so weary of the big "M" button on my camera and never really knew what my camera was capable of before this experience. To be able to photograph a scene in different ways changes your entire vacation and I cant thank Tim enough for sharing his knowledge and making my vacation so much more rewarding! I was able to capture really great shots around London, even after our session. It was worth every penny and i would love to do it all again!
This is a great experience even if you already know the city, Tim will teach you how to shoot amazing pictures of London and will take you places you won’t find as a tourist. If he adds more routes is something to repeat definitely. Tim is great host and if you want amazing pics of your visit, this is just the experience to book without a doubt.
It was a perfectly planned evening tour. At the beginning Tim started with explaining the most important things about the camera settings and gave us a handout. He Took the time explaining the settings of every different camera. After that we tried the new learnings outside. Tim guided us to so much nice places for shooting and showed us how to make the perfect shot their. In the end we made some great pictures from the tower bridge from different places and with different camera settings. One was a really cool secret spot at a roof:) all in all it was a perfect mix of theoretical and practical learning and tim took a lot of time explaining everything till we understand :) perfect evening. I would definitely recommend the experience.
Three words: Brilliant, amazing, perfect!! In any case I can highly recommend ‚Photographing London with Tim‘. We‘ve been a group of five peoples, with five different photography skills. Normally that‘s the worst case for a trainer - not for Tim. He explained each of us the camera settings - regardless of whether it is a digital or reflex camera. And we all took the same brillant photos. Tim showed us a lot of amazing places to take the ‚perfect London photo‘. Thank you - Tim!!! :-))
STREETS OF LONDON WORKSHOPS
I am running a spring series of photo workshops in London. In recent years I have clocked up thousands of steps around the city and along the river and discovered some interesting viewpoints. The photo walks provide everyone with a feast for the eyes and a renewed enjoyment of this great city . Combined with a lot of fun, practical knowledge and a large dose of creativity.
You will learn about exposures, composition, how to read light, lots of creative tips and on the one day course some post production editing,
I am happy to take people of all abilities and camera knowledge. You just need a camera and for the evening sessions, tripod is useful ( I have a spare one for sharing ). Im pretty familiar with most brands including Sony , Canon and Nikon.
You can sign up here for the different workshops. Minimum attendance is two people. So If I only have one booking I will politely suggest we move it to a date with more people to make it more worthwhile for you (and me !)
I only take a maximum of 5 people for everyones benefit but if your keen to do something more bespoke with family or friends Im also available for hire on a date that suits you. Just email me your requirements
